Oh this should be fun, for Lightning fans and those of us who take pleasure in the Leafs futility.

It has everything to do with my dislike for Dave Nonis, he's an incompetent nit-wit...thus I take pleasure in watching him try and defend the team he's assembled and the contracts he's handed out.

I’ve maintained for a long time that Toronto’s roster really isn’t that bad. In fact, the opposite is true. It’s quite good. The trouble for the Leafs is that they have a coach who runs an ineffective (read: downright abysmal) system.

We are hoping that problem will be rectified after tonight.

Enjoy your two points.

Oh good - I thought your hatred of the Leafs was just a Nonis-thingy.

Turns out you are just a bitter West Coaster from Canada's tea room.

Carry on.

Their problem, IMO...and what do I know, has been and remains incompetent management. No successful team has been based on strength on the wing, I mean WTF man, get a God Damned #1 center.

And here's a thought, get some players to insulate Dion Phaneuf, the guy has absolutely no support on that backend. He looks bad because he's continually trying to do too much, he's all alone back there. Is he a 7 million dollar guy, no, but he's not as bad as he looks due to the players around him.

Leaf fans were all laughing when they got Lupul and Gardiner for Beauchmin, who's a rock solid stay at home dman; Lupul can't stay healthy and he's helped the Leafs to win nothing, Gardiner should be a forward as he's got zero value as a defenseman.

The whole organization is disfunctional, and trust me, we know disfunctional here on the LeftCoast.

As much as I'd like to tear you a new one, Leftsie, there's not a lot here that I can disagree with.

Although I'm not willing to give up on Gardiner until I see him under a different coach.

I'm hoping that's Saturday.

11-1 Tampa.

I think when Stamkos scores his hat trick, we will see it rain jerseys instead of hats.

I was being serious, my brother in-law lives there and my wife is from just north of Barrie. Toronto's a great city - honestly...I love it there when we visit.

Everyone knows it's the attention from the fans and the media that dissuades players from wanting to play in that environment.

As a Leafs fan, I'm now expecting the Leafs to come out and pummel the Bolts 6-2.

Why?

Because it will win Carlyle a little more time, prolonging our agony.

Yeah, I'm a Leafs fan.

My apologies.

But c'mon, calling Victoria "Canada's tea room?"

That's gold, Jerry.

I heard a really good quote from a guy in media, who was quoting another guy in media, and I'm afraid that I can't attribute the original quote.

But it was basically this:

The difference between the Montreal and Toronto hockey media is that although both like to criticize every single aspect of the team, at the end of the day the Montreal media is hoping the Habs win.

That's not the case with the Toronto media.
